[Track 1: Prologue: It’s Good to Do Something Like This Every Once in a While]

Translation:

[train whistle]

Riko: Alright, everybody! Listen up! Sorry for asking you to come all the way out here, but we have to call off today’s practice game!

Seirin: Ehhh?!

Kagami: Coach, what do ya mean by that? …er, if you don’t mind me asking?

Riko: There’s no two ways about it. It’s just like I said. I mean, I only found out by phone just now.

Kuroko: What do you mean? Did something happen?

Riko: Our would-be opponents made a mistake with the gym reservations. They told me that their gym is going to be used for mama-san volleyball today. (1)

Izuki: Mama-san volleyball…? Mama-san volleyball, huh… That’s tough.

Riko: That’s for sure. Conquering their “mama-san power” and capturing the gym would take a great deal of brute strength.

Hyuuga: Um, trying to force our way in isn’t going to help…

Izuki: Aha! Mama-san volleys, then mama samba olé!

Hyuuga: That’s a stretch! And when you said this was “tough”, you were just having a hard time coming up with a joke?!

Kuroko: Izuki-senpai, “olé” is said during flamenco dances, not samba.

Izuki: Oh, I see…

Koganei: Woah! Kuroko had a comeback for Izuki’s joke!

Tsuchida: Ahaha, was that a comeback? I think Kuroko was just correcting him.

Kawahara: Man, we took a train and came all the way out here, but it was all for nothing.

Fukuda: Yeah, it’s kind of a shame.

Furihata: [sighs]

Koganei: Don’t get so depressed, Kawahara, Fukuda, Furihata. I’ve got a great idea! Coach!

Riko: What is it, Koganei-kun?

Koganei: Since we came all the way here, let’s stop somewhere on our way home!

Riko: Stop somewhere?

Koganei: Yep! Look, there’s the perfect place right in front of us!

Hyuuga: Right in front of us…? You mean that amusement park?

Koganei: Bingo! How about it, Coach? Can we go have a little fun?

Riko: Hm, let’s see. It’d be kind of annoying to just head home with nothing to show for our trouble. Let’s go have fun!

Koganei: Yeah!

[chatter]

Hyuuga: Well, it’s important to relax every now and then.

Izuki: An amusement park, huh? It’s been a while.

Koganei: Wonder what I should ride~!

Kagami: If I had to choose, I think I’d rather find something to eat.

Kuroko: I think there’s a food court inside the park.

Riko: Hmm, seems like everybody wants to do something different. Let’s decide on a meeting time so we can split up. We’ll meet at the entrance at 4 PM. What do you think?

Seirin: Okay!

Riko: Then it’s settled! Alright, let’s go enjoy the amusement park!

Seirin: Yeah!

Thanks for your comment! I’m glad I was able to make the pun work in English. XD

I’m working on the rest of the translation, but life is really hectic at the moment, so I haven’t had much time to translate. I’ll try to post another track near the beginning of December. Thanks for understanding. 🙂

I like the translations and the notes (<–helps a lot). From the pun of Midorima, target shooting of Izuki and Hyuuga, saber moon, 4- man sumo wrestling; to the very end, the drama theater is great! Thank you so much for completing my day. I just discovered KuroBasu recently but I got addicted because of its plot and characters. XD THANK YOU so Much!

You can listen to this drama CD here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZSEz9ckJVzaJkn5bPMdo6blmXElNP9W1

This CD (“Drama Theater 1st Games”) is an original story about Seirin, Kise, and Midorima visiting an amusement park. The second drama CD (“Drama Theater 2nd Games”) is based on a chapter from one of the KnB novels and takes place at Teikou Middle School.

The Solo and Duet CDs (such as Takao’s “F.O.V.”) feature various voice actors from KnB singing “image songs” based on the characters they play. They also include short monologues.

The DVD audio dramas are special CDs that were packaged with the KnB DVDs and Blu-rays. Each one features a different set of characters and its own story.

Let me know if you need any more info. ^^
