[translation] 「名もなき花」(“Nameless Flower”) by Kamiya Hiroshi

I love this song. The lyrics are both refreshing and inspiring, and it’s obvious from the “Making of ‘Hare no Hi'” video that Kamiya poured his heart and soul into his debut mini-album.

“Nameless Flower” – Kamiya Hiroshi

“To the nameless flower that was seeking sunlight, keep following the sun as you grow…”

Laughing like fool, only looking at the sky
That dazzlingly bright summer

Lying in bed after having overslept
We basked in the southern wind and sang along
We have wishes that never came true
But we’ll live for tomorrow
The forgetful light
Remembers to awaken a budding flower

To the nameless flower that was seeking sunlight
Keep following the sun as you grow
Even if you lose your way when you’re alone
Jump into the sky! You’re free
Flowers sing with the wind

On a street corner after the rain
Heat haze was shimmering above the asphalt
Where is this thing we call the “future”?
It’s too far in the distance and blurs before my eyes
A friend who comprehends it
Was calling to me in the twilight

To the nameless flower that began blooming on that day
Change warmth into courage
Seize a piece of the dream you imagined
And run with it
Flowers laugh with the wind

To the nameless flower that was seeking sunlight
Keep following the sun as you grow
Extend the happiness that began when you started your journey
Higher than the vapor trails of the airplanes
I thought to myself, “You and I, we’re not alone”

Laughing like a fool, only chasing after my dreams
That dazzlingly bright summer
